Yanping Lu (陆燕萍) is a Professional Artist, a Computer Graphic (CG) Designer, and an Art Educator lives in Dublin, Ohio.

Yanping Lu was born in Shanghai and grew up in Wuhan, China where she spent most of her time focusing on visual art and design, particularly fine arts and design. She attended Hubei Institute of Fine Arts (湖北美术学院) in China. After obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts, she worked at a big import & export silk and fashion company in China for 8 years as a professional artist and a designer. In the early of 1990s, she moved to Japan. She studied computer arts and new media design for 10 years in Shiga University (滋贺大学), Chiba University (千叶大学), and Tohoku University (东北大学) in Japan, respectively. It was there that she developed a new technology – interaction design for human computer interaction. During that time, she had many solo and group shows throughout Japan at galleries. In 2005, she obtained a Master of Arts in Educational Informatics from Tohoku University (东北大学), one of the top universities in Japan. To further her career, she came to the United States in 2005. 

Yanping Lu has acquired the wealth accumulation of knowledge and experience in the fields of visual arts, CG design, and interaction design. Her best known works are the oil painting and interactive visual design. In oil painting, her works have taken on three styles: the first style is to utilize the traditional skills of realism such as special dimensional orientation to create dynamic effects of visual art on the stationary drawing as the cause for the visual illusion. The second style is to use a simple color contrast for expressing the overall visual image and the direct effect of visual stimulation. The third style is to use an approach of motion in quiescence to express and re-appear a kind of "vitality" existence beyond reality. In interactive visual design, her work has been focused on creating the overall look and feel of a wide range of interactive communication products that use graphics, sound, animation, digital, and visual effects to express ideas and emotions.
